Conference Coordinator: Mgr. Ivana TETAUEROVá
She is prelingually Deaf. Graduated at Faculty of Pedagogy at Masaryk University in Brno, MA course of Special Pedagogy – Art Education. In 2002, she studied as exchange student at the University of Wolverhampton, England, British Sign Language, English, Illustration for Younger Audiences, Editorial Illustration. Currently, she is studying MA course on Czech in the Communication of the Deaf and PhD course on Czech Language at the Faculty of Philosophy & Arts in Prague. Since December 2005, she is member of the Czech Chamber for Sign Language Interpreters. She worked as Editor-in-chief of magazine of Czech Union of the Deaf, UNIE. She also contributes by her illustrations to magazine for the Deaf, Gong. As illustrator, she is involved in projects „Hands for Eyes” and „Interactive Study Material of Czech Language for the Deaf on CD“. She often participates at the Deaf national and international events, seminars and conferences linked with Deaf issues. She is interested into International Sign issues.


AGM Coordinator & Head of Scientific Committee: Bc. Barbora KOMÁRKOVÁ
Graduated BA course Czech in the Communication of the Deaf at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University in Prague. Currently studying 5th year Special Pedagogy at Faculty of Pedagogy, Charles University in Prague. Vice-chairman of Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters. Administrator of the project Educated and making teaching materiále for sign language interpreters, Signed Czech Transliterators or Spoken Czech visualisator in the frame of the doping programme JPD3, disposal 3.2. Coordinator project „Interpreter throughout Deaf Child Eyes“.



Head of Registration & Webmaster: Gordon HAY, BA (Hons)
He is currently a technician officer for Czech Chambers of Sign Language Interpreters producing video clips to create DVDs for their new project – which raise awareness about Deaf and develop interpreting materials. He is British, living in Prague in the past 2 years with his girlfriend, Ivana. After the EFSLI AGM & Conference 2006, Gordon will move back to the UK. He graduated at the University of Wolverhampton, England, Digital Media and Photography. He took part in Frontrunners, the world’s first Deaf Leadership Training programme in Denmark for 3 and half months last year. He learnt a lot about Deaf issues and activities. He is profoundly Deaf and the 3^rd generation Deaf in his family.


Head of PR (1): Bc. Milena NAJMANOVÁ
Student of second year following MA course Czech in the Communication of the Deaf at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University in Prague. Head of Publicity of Chamber. Interpreter of the theatre project „Rose for Algernon“. Lecturer of the Project „Interpreter throughout Deaf Child Eyes“. Head of operators and interpreter of the Centre providing Sign Language Interpreters to the Deaf. She also works as secretary for Pevnost – Czech Centre of Sign Language. External worker for the Centre for Education results determination. She is also correspondent for Deaf magazine UNIE.



Head of PR (2): Kateřina PEŠKOVÁ
She is student of last year BA course in Czech in the Communication of the Deaf at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University in Prague. Member of Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters, involved in its activities.

Entertainment Coordinator: Mgr. Nad’a DINGOVÁ
Graduated at Faculty of Theatre at Masaryk University in Brno, Education Drama of the Deaf course and Faculty of Education at Masaryk University in Brno, Logopedie and Surdopedie course. She is chairperson of the professional organisation Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters, court sign language interpreter for the Deaf, interpreter of the university course Czech in the Communication of the Deaf at the Faculty of Philosophy & Arts in Prague. She is also interpreter registered under the Centre providing Sign Language Interpreters to the Deaf. Member of Expert commission for the interpreting issues along ASNEP. Interpreter of TV programmes for the Deaf, member of organising committee of the TV Deaf Club, interpreter of the cultural events like the concerts “Twelfth night of Bara Basiková”, “Signed by Heart” at Prague Castle and theatre performances as “Tracy´s Tiger”, “Perfect Days” and “Rose for Algernon”.


Head of Finance: Jan FIKEJS
Student of Faculty of Ecomomics, Informatics course. He is member of Chamber, sign language interpreter of the project „Education of the Deaf graphics“. He also works as the interpreter of FI MUNI. Jan is one of interpreters registered under the Centre providing Sign Language Interpreters to the Deaf. He is involved into SignWriting activities in the Czech Republic.

Technical Coordinator: Jindřich MAREŠ
Currently studying Czech in the Communication of the Deaf at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University in Prague. Participant of Certification educating programme of Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters – the specialization Czech Sign language interpreter. He is also an interpreter of cultural events, former member of Quiet Music – singing in sign language group. Representative Chamber at the ASNEP meetings. Operator of the Centre providing Sign Language Interpreters to the Deaf.



There is only 1 qualified interpreter in this Conference Team. The rest of those are either Deaf or students of interpreting. The Chamber encourages Deaf and students to be involved in a lot of such events possible.
